Rucker Mansion, 412 Laurel Drive (1905)
National Register of Historic Places
Combining elements of Italian Villa, Queen Anne and Georgian Revival styles, the Rucker Mansion was completed in 1905 on a hillside commanding a spending panorama of the Everett harbor. Jane Rucker and her sons Wyatt and Bethel were among the first to foresee the townsite potential of the peninsula east of Port Gardner Bay. Bethel’s marriage plans coincided with construction of the house, and the newlyweds moved into the elegant residence. The Ruckers resided here only a short time. For years it was the home of the Walton family. It has been continually used as a residence and is sometimes part of the Historic Everett Home Tour.
