122. Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Avenue

Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Avenue (1901) WA State Register of Historic Places The original Everett Theater, a design of Charles Bebb, opened in 1901. A fire in 1923 destroyed most of the building. Only the north, east and south walls were retained when it was rebuilt in 1924. The new look with buff brick and terra cotta was a design of architect F. Leather. Several remodels  including those of 1952 and 1979 followed, but it is basically the 1924 building that stands at 2911 Colby Avenue today. People have been going to the theater downtown for over a century.
