Commerce Building, 1801 Hewitt Avenue (1910)
Arch.: Benjamin Turnbull, National Register of Historic Places
This five-story building is located on the NE corner of Hewitt and Rockefeller Avenues. Constructed for the Bank of Commerce. The previous wooden building burned in the 1909 fires that also took the County Courthouse.
The Women’s Suffrage Club was once occupied the building. Housing Hope has restored it for low-income housing and recently restored the original pivot frame windows.
